About this class
This online synchronous class is designed for parents and guardians who want to learn about porn literacy and how to navigate the complex world of online pornography and sex education.
Porn literacy refers to the critical understanding of the messages and influences that porn can have on individuals and society. It also includes being equipped with the tools and knowledge to make informed choices about personal porn consumption and how to communicate with children about the issue.
The class will cover:
- Understanding the impact of porn on children and young people
- Addressing common myths and misconceptions about porn
- Developing skills to communicate with children about porn
- The importance of digital literacy and media literacy
- Understanding the different types of porn and their impact
- How to be proactive about sex education and child safety
By the end of the course, you'll have a solid understanding of porn literacy and the skills and knowledge to empower your children and yourself in the digital age.
Good to know before you register
Adults only. Children and teens may not be present or within listening distance during class, so parents can ask questions openly.
Registration is per parent, not per family. Each adult attending needs their own registration. If two parents or guardians would like to attend, please register each person separately.
